Logistics Manager – Automotive
My client, a major Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead logistics and supply chain operations at their cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Germany, focused on interior systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound materials, internal flow, inventory control, and outbound distribution.
Ensure Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery and material availability to support uninterrupted production.
Develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Lead continuous improvement projects in logistics processes, warehouse management, and supply chain systems.
Monitor and analyse key logistics KPIs to drive data-driven improvements.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and planning teams to align logistics with broader operational goals.
Requirements:
Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management within the automotive sector, ideally in a Tier 1 or OEM environment.
Strong understanding of JIT systems, lean logistics, and supply chain coordination.
Familiarity with ERP and WMS systems; experience with SAP is a plus.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop logistics teams in a high-paced manufacturing setting.
Fluent in English; German language proficiency is highly preferred.
