What you can expect
For our development team in Lingen (Ems) or Osnabrück we are looking for a
Data Scientist (all genders welcome) with focus on Data Engineering
Data science means extracting knowledge from data. We achieve this by using the latest tools from the areas of big data, high performance computing and artificial intelligence, especially deep learning. Our solutions in the area of predictive analytics enable the safe operation of critical infrastructures. RESPONSIBILITY:
Development and optimization of data pipelines for processing large amounts of data (interface between data science and data engineering)
Cleaning, transforming and storing data for analyses and machine learning models
Optimizing the data architecture for performance and scalability
Automation and documentation of data processes
Development of machine learning models and their integration into existing systems
Development of algorithms for the detection and classification of objects from data measured by our pipeline inspection devices
Provision of algorithms and intelligent services in the form of minimum viable products with a focus on customer experience
Interdisciplinary collaboration in integrating the algorithms into our software applications
Co-design and use of technological trends, for example in the areas of artificial intelligence, high performance computing, data persistence and processing, as well as big data solutions
What you will bring
To become part of the ROSEN family, you are team minded and convince by an independent and structured work behavior. Moreover, you should bring with you:
Degree or doctorate in information technology, physics, mathematics, computer science or a comparable field of study
Experience with data engineering technologies such as SQL and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, especially excellent skills in Python; knowledge of other languages such as C or C++ is an advantage
Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and ETL processes
Knowledge of machine learning and model deployment
Methodological skills in the field of data mining and machine learning, especially supervised and unsupervised learning
Basic knowledge of non-destructive testing using ultrasound as well as experience in the subject areas of explainable artificial intelligence, MLOps, DevOps and applied statistics desirable
Experience in software engineering is an advantage
Analytical thinking, ability to work in a team and a solution-oriented way of working
Good written and spoken English language skills
