The working group "Preparation of thermochemical conversion products" deals with possible applications of the biochar produced in this process. The bachelor's thesis will investigate the suitability of this biochar as a membrane substrate for separating hydrogen from gas mixtures.
What you will do
* Mechanical preparation and modification of carbonisates
* Production of membrane base bodies from the modified carbonisates using pressing and sintering processes and post-treatment
* Development and implementation of methods for characterizing the membrane base bodies, especially the porosity and flow properties
* Implementation of a parameter study on the influence of the manufacturing process and the pre- and post-treatment steps on the properties of the base bodies
* Technical representation of the research results in the institute context
What you bring to the table
