What You Can Expect : As an EDI Coordinator / Developer, you are responsible for analyzing, implementing, managing, and continuously optimizing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) connections between Rhenus Overland, its customers, carriers, and external partners. You play a key role in ensuring seamless, reliable, and efficient data exchange across the organization and its ecosystem. You manage EDI initiatives end to end—from initial requirements and analysis through implementation, testing, go-live, and ongoing support. Acting as a central link between business stakeholders, IT, and external partners, you help improve information flows, business processes, and system integrations in a dynamic logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Analyze business and technical requirements for EDI integrations with customers, carriers, and partners Design, implement, monitor, and optimize EDI connections and message flows Manage EDI projects from initiation through completion, including coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders Act as the primary interface between business, IT, and integration partners for EDI-related topics Ensure stability, performance, and data quality of EDI interfaces Support troubleshooting, incident analysis, and root-cause resolution for EDI issues Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration processes, standards, and documentation Support the adoption of new technologies and integration patterns where relevant Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Work closely with colleagues across operations, customer service, IT, and data teams Coordinate with external customers, carriers, and integration partners Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders at different technical and business levels Contribute to a team-oriented, collaborative working environment What You Bring: Education & Experience Higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working Experience in business process support, system integration, or EDI-related roles is an advantage Affinity with the road transport and logistics sector Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Results-driven and solution-oriented mindset Ability to maintain overview and manage multiple topics in parallel Proactive, structured, and process-driven way of working Strong communication skills and good command of the English language Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Technical Knowledge (Advantageous) Experience or familiarity with: EDI standards (e.g. EDIFACT, BORD512) Integration technologies such as API and XML Data flows and system integrations in a logistics context
