Our technology will power basic driver assistance as well as advanced automated Driving and Parking functions for all brands within Volkswagen Group in the “Ownership” spectrum.You will contribute to one or more of the following areas:Selection and Scenario Mining, Semantics and World Models, Multi-Modal 3D Sensor Processing, Auto Labeling, ML Lifecycle PlatformWhat You Will DoDevelop, train, and implement deep learning models using multimodal inputs to provide high-quality data for AI developmentBuild and scale data pipelines for training, inference, validation, error analysis, and continuous improvement of machine learning modelsApply and advance model compression and optimization techniques (e.g., quantization, pruning, distillation) to ensure efficient inference on embedded hardwareMonitor and analyze current research in deep learning, computer vision, and autonomous systems, translating insights into practical solutions for data selection and ground-truth generationWho You AreUniversity degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Scientific Computing, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with a focus on Artificial IntelligenceStrong knowledge in data analysis as well as in the design and training of neural networksExperience with common machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlowExperience in software development with Python with a focus on high software qualityFamiliarity with software architectures, design patterns, and version control systemsExperience or interest in multi-task learning, sensor fusion, or end-to-end AI systems (nice to have)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent English skills, German is an advantageNICE TO KNOWRemote work optionsTemporary work from abroad in selected countriesFlextime / optional working hoursCompany pension planAnnual professional developmentSabbatical option up to 6 months30 days paid + 10 days unpaid leavePossibility for VW Group car leasingAt CARIAD, we embrace individuality and diversity because we believe our differences make us stronger.
