Together, let's build a world where privacy and security shape the future of communication.GENERAL INFORMATIONEmployment Type: PermanentPrevious working experience: 7+ years in Frontend or Full-stack development, with significant time in Senior or Tech Lead roles.Working hours: 40 hrs/weekWorking Location: Berlin Office, Remote within Germany or EUReports to: Engineering Manager - WebYOUR CHALLENGE AT WIREDevelop real-time messaging and encrypted media exchange using cutting-edge standards like MLS.Implement meetings and conferencing features, including UI for video/audio calls, shared screens, and threaded discussions.Optimize performance for message processing, rendering, synchronization, and offline workflows across platforms and sessions.Lead technical initiatives with Senior Engineers and Engineering Managers to improve architecture and developer experience, ensuring clarity of purpose and impact.Define and drive technical initiatives to enhance app scalability, reliability, and maintainability, including modernizing legacy areas.Make architectural decisions and raise the technical bar through RFCs and ADRs, code reviews, and collaborative communication.Support and mentor other engineers, fostering growth, sharing context, and encouraging broader ownership.YOUR PROFILEYou have built and maintained complex frontend systems across web and desktop environments, managing features from conception to production.
