Starting immediately, full-time as a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d).As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, you’re at the heart of our cross-functional product teams, steering the technical direction and execution of our myCampus student-facing online platforms. You will help bring maximum business value to our students and foster an environment of continuous experimentation and learning within the team.ResponsibilitiesWork on our myCampus student-facing platforms (study management, learning content, online exams).Design, implement, and maintain applications using TypeScript across the stack (Vue.js 3, NestJS), and contribute to PHP/Laravel services.Build and evolve microfrontends (single-spa) and scalable backend services.Work with SQL/No-SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and deploy scalable solutions.Integrate with and leverage at least one message broker like Kafka.Contribute to discussions on event-driven and distributed architecture.Ensure accessibility, performance, and reliability, meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards.Ship production-quality software with testing, CI/CD, and observability (Datadog).Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate GenAI concepts where applicable (including Model Context Protocol/MCP).Your ProfileExpert knowledge in using TypeScript on the backend with frameworks such as NestJS (Fastify/Express a plus).Solid understanding of modern web technologies and frameworks such as Vue 3 (or React/Svelte with willingness to adopt Vue).Experience with PHP/Laravel is a plus.Knowledge of SQL/No-SQL databases and data modeling.Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging patterns, and microfrontends (single-spa or Module Federation).Open-minded, adaptable, proactive mindset with excellent communication skills; English required (German a plus).Interest in GenAI integration (RAG/LLM tooling, MCP), observability (e.g., Datadog), and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).We offerBe you at IU: We support and empower you to achieve your personal and professional goals.Work wherever you want… Digitalization is part of our DNA.
