* Develop, optimize, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for data preprocessing, analysis, and visualization
* Perform integrative multi-omics data analyses (transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics) to uncover novel insights into RNA-mediated regulatory mechanisms in cardiovascular biology
* Collaborate with experimental biologists to design studies, interpret results, and validate computational findings
* Apply machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to identify patterns and predict functional impacts of RNA modifications
* Contribute to publications, presentations, and grant proposals
* Provide bioinformatics support and training to lab members as needed
Required qualifications:
* A PhD (or equivalent) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related field
* Strong expertise in RNA biology and/or RNA modifications
* Proven experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia and bioinformatics tools
* Proficiency in working with high-throughput sequencing data (e.g., RNA-seq, CLIP-seq, or epitranscriptomics)
* Familiarity with cloud computing and high-performance computing (HPC) environments
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in statistical analysis and data visualization
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience with cardiovascular research or related biomedical fields
* Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn)
* Familiarity with databases and tools for RNA biology (e.g., GENCODE, RNAcentral, Modomics)
* Experience in multi-omics data integration and pathway analysis
What we offer:
* A permanent position with a competitive salary under the E15 TV-L pay scale
* Access to state-of-the-art computational and experimental resources
* A dynamic, collaborative, and supportive research environment
* Opportunities for professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration
