Your Job
The Distribution Business Development Manager is responsible for driving demand creation, commercialization excellence, and strategic growth across the Transportation Solutions Business Unit (TSBU) distribution channel throughout Europe, with a strong focus on the DACH region.
Our Team
This role serves as a key bridge between Molex, distribution partners, and end customers—closing commercialization gaps, accelerating new product introductions (NPIs), and strengthening distributor capabilities through targeted campaigns, training, and market insight. The position requires a high level of customer engagement, regular travel, and representation of TSBU products at industry events.
What You Will Do
1. Drive demand creation by commercializing existing TSBU products and 2025 NPIs through education, development, and execution with distributor technical and sales teams.
2. Develop, manage, and continuously refine the distribution funnel (DREG) to increase channel sales, visibility, and market penetration.
3. Lead targeted, high‑value customer campaigns, including account migration strategies and parts growth initiatives.
4. Identify and prioritize specific market segments for each key distributor to maximize channel performance and return on investment.
5. Develop and deliver live and digital training, including pre‑recorded sessions, sales enablement collateral, and seminar presentations.
6. Represent TSBU products at Traveling Technologies events, distributor events, and selected industry trade shows across Europe.
7. Leverage AI and digital tools to support strategic distribution channel development and opportunity identification.
8. Gather, analyze, and communicate market intelligence related to Non‑Automotive Transportation (NAT) applications and competitive dynamics.
9. Collaborate closely with the Molex NPI and product teams, providing channel partner and indirect customer insights to inform future product development.
10. Identify new market segments and customer opportunities for both existing products and NPIs, with a focus on transformational trends within NAT markets.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
11. A senior‑level business development professional with proven experience in distribution‑based go‑to‑market models.
12. Strong in commercialization, product launch, and demand creation within complex, technical portfolios.
13. A confident communicator with excellent presentation, training, and stakeholder‑management skills.
14. Comfortable working across regions, cultures, and cross‑functional teams in a matrixed organization.
15. Highly self‑driven, customer‑focused, and willing to travel extensively across Europe.
What Will Put You Ahead
16. Demonstrated success in business development or channel management, ideally within distribution environments.
17. Experience in connectors and related applications is strongly preferred.
18. Technical background or technical market experience (degree and/or relevant industry exposure) is preferred.
19. Knowledge of the Commercial Vehicle market is considered a strong advantage.
20. Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
21. Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Europe.
Additionally, everyone has individual work and personal needs. We seek to enable the best work environment that helps you and the business work together to produce superior results.
