Purpose
Lead the Finance IT team delivering best in class Finance/Legal solutions and support the objectives of the Finance Function “World class; second in command” through “planning excellence”; “harmonization / standardization” and “global system coverage”. Deliver customer-oriented IT support and services together with offshore partners, contractors and consultants.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead the formal development and maintenance of a comprehensive Finance system strategy in accordance and alignment with business requirements covering adidas Accounting and Planning; Tax; Treasury; Financial Shared Services; Procurement.
* Lead the formal development and maintenance of a comprehensive Legal systems and archiving/document management strategy in accordance and alignment with legal and business requirements
* Ensure scalability for the planned solutions
* Implement efficient and effective IT services to impact bottom line
* Ensure support for HQ and market users in all relevant locations
* Create, maintain and report about the IT budget against given targets
* Be a knowledgeable, reliable and trusted IT contact for business partners and for GIT
* Drive and support decision making process with key stakeholders within business and GIT
* Provide strong leadership towards internal IT team and business partners
* Manage External Services and drive sourcing discussions for IT services
* Manage external relationships with key customers and suppliers and look for efficiency gains
* Identify, design and drive innovation in our area of responsibility and/or integrate and apply new technologies from IT
* Ensure stability and consistency of the existing solutions on global level
* Install effective demand management and governance regarding Finance; Legal; Internal Audit and for archiving/document management
* Support (pro-)actively the implementation of CTN
* Ensure seamless project delivery together with GIT and Business partners
* Manage team and plan staffing capacities, recruitments
* Proactively drive R2A to ensure sustainable improvement of Employee Engagement Dependency Management
Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities
* English language skills at a high level
* Strong Background in IT Concepts, Applications and Technology
* Knowledge of SAP Finance Suite for, but not limited to, reporting; procurement; FSS; treasury; payment systems
* Knowledge of Archiving/Document Management systems
* Knowledge in the following system areas is a positive factor – Legal, Risk Management, Insurance, Sustainability/Carbon Accounting; Investor Relations; Corporate Real Estate
* Interact effectively with middle & senior management
* Proven program and change management experience including the ability to work independently across organizations and business functions to integrate and deliver strategic direction.
* Ability to coach, guide, manage and develop a team
* Strong leadership, communication and relationship skills, particularly in a multi-cultural environment
* Strong Project, prioritization and management skills
* Strong Service Management skills
* Selling IT as an enabler to business
Qualifications
1. University degree in business or computer science
2. Minimum 10 years of experience within international IT environments, including several years in management positions
3. Minimum 5 years’ experience in personnel management
4. International experience and track record
5. Preferably knowledge of adidas and Global IT organization and processes
6. Language skills: fluent in English spoken and written
