The Director IT Business Partner (m/f/d) leads the IT Business Partner & Demand Management team, acting as the primary interface between business stakeholders and IT. This global role ensures business needs are translated into IT initiatives that deliver tangible value, while driving transparency, prioritization, and agile transformation. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop IT Business Partners & Demand Managers. Oversee registration, prioritization, and processing of all business demands. Set and communicate the vision for demand management. Serve as senior escalation point for IT delivery issues. Portfolio & Demand Oversight Host strategic portfolio sessions with key stakeholders. Ensure demands processed through a standardized workflow. Act as final quality gate for moving epics on the Portfolio Board. Oversee formulation and prioritization of epics in the “New/Funnel” Portfolio Backlog. Guide calculation of WSJF with IT Owners. Agile Transformation & Process Excellence Champion agile transformation of the IT Business Partner & Demand Management function. Ensure solutions deliver measurable business value by collaborating with Customers and Solution Management. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Ensure requirements are clearly understood by agile teams. Lead portfolio reviews, present the Portfolio Roadmap. Oversee development of customer‑oriented support concepts. Identify process improvement opportunities. Monitor demand trends, forecast performance, and report to executive leadership. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, business administration, or related field; ITIL, PMP certifications are a plus. Proven leadership experience in IT demand planning, portfolio management or related fields. Strong strategic thinking, transformation management, team‑building skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Deep understanding of ITIL, project management methodologies, and business process alignment. Advanced proficiency in demand and capacity planning tools (e.g., JIRA, Excel). Project Management experience in waterfall and agile methods. Fluent in English and German.
