We're looking for an experienced actuary to join our team. As a Senior Actuarial Consultant, you will play a key role in providing expert advice to clients on reserving and risk management.
Responsibilities:
* Provide actuarial consulting services focused on reserving, including analysis of claims data, reserve estimation, and risk modeling.
* Lead and manage the preparation of reserve reports for clients, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
* Develop and refine actuarial models for reserving purposes, using relevant methodologies.
* Collaborate with clients to interpret findings and provide actionable recommendations for improving their reserve positions.
* Mentor junior analysts, offering guidance and development opportunities.
Requirements:
* Actuarial exams (e.g. FIA, DAV, FCAS or equivalent) completed.
* At least 3 years of actuarial experience, with a strong focus on reserving.
* Advanced knowledge of actuarial techniques, especially those related to reserving (e.g., chain-ladder, Bornhuetter-Ferguson, and stochastic models).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
* Solid understanding of European insurance regulatory frameworks and financial reporting standards (IFRS, Solvency II).
* Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
