We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Application Software Engineer to join our Industrial Automation team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, driving project execution, and contributing to the development and optimization of automation solutions with a strong focus on building control and drive solution for machine tool application.
Provide on-site customer support as required and agreed
System commissioning: setup drives and motors, tuning of drives and CNC to optimize machine path, setup CNC functionalities, troubleshooting, and fault rectification.
Support customers and internal stakeholders in industrial automation projects (drive technology, PLC programming, system integration).
Participate in the development and enhancement of CNC, HMI, and PLC functions.
Take ownership of independent project management, including planning, execution, and reporting, while coordinating closely with the development team.
Prepare and maintain development documentation and functional specifications to support internal processes and customer needs.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer on-site support. (Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).
Hands-on experience with laser systems and motion control.
Familiarity with Siemens, Beckhoff, or similar CNC platforms. (Ability to work independently and within cross-functional, international teams.
