About the Role:We are seeking a skilledFreelanceData CenterEngineerto support our mission-critical IT infrastructure. This role involves installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center and network hardware, ensuring seamless operations in a high-availability environment. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with strong problem-solving and project management skills.Key Responsibilities:Perform rack and stack operations, cable management, and hardware installation.Test, install, and maintain copper, fiber, and power cabling.Conduct functional testing, diagnostics, and break-fix activities for data center hardware.Assist with circuit migrations, IMAC, and asset management.Replace and configure defective components (line cards, fibers, cables, etc.).Collaborate with server/network teams and vendors to resolve incidents.Manage SLAs, escalate issues, and ensure accurate documentation/reporting.Qualifications:Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field (Associate/Technical Diploma acceptable).5–8 years' experience in data center infrastructure or DWDM systems.3+ years of hands-on network hardware installation and troubleshooting.Familiarity with ITIL practices and SLA/KPI governance.Fluent in English (written and verbal).Technical Skills:Expertise in fiber (MPO), copper cabling, and physical infrastructure management .Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 networking principles and troubleshooting.Proficiency with tools such as VFL, OPM, OTDR, and BERT .Experience with remote access tools, storage arrays, and circuit testing .Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
