Tektronix which is part of Fortive group, is looking for a Legal Counsel EMEAI team member to join the Tektronix Global Legal Team supporting the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India regions (“EMEAI”).
We are looking for a motivated candidate to work in a dynamic environment on a wide variety of assignments. In this role, the Legal Counsel EMEAI will be responsible for advising primarily EA-Elektro-Automatik’s teams in Germany and other regions, as needed, in a wide variety of legal topics as well as for Tektronix as needed. As such, the Legal Counsel will perform a full spectrum of contractual tasks including drafting and negotiation of agreements linked to sale and distribution of the full portfolio. This role will partner with other functional groups to drive negotiations to closure and successfully support business objectives requiring legal guidance and support in contracting process while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulations. The Legal Counsel will also work and advise on a wide range of legal topics such as, but not limited to, compliance, intellectual property, employment, data privacy, etc.

Negotiate and draft various contracts, tender documentation and RFQs for both public and commercial sectors in a broad range of industries and work on all phases of deals ranging from proposal/bid review stages through final negotiation in compliance with risk management strategy.
Drive improved processes to scale efficiencies in the legal support of go-to-market solutions.
Consult on various Legal topics (e.g. competition, GDPR, etc.) Upgrade and harmonization of standard documents (contracts, terms and conditions of sales, etc.).
Assist EMEAI regions with compliance issues / provide ethics and compliance support (speak up investigation, whistle-blowing investigations, privacy, and regulatory compliance as well as anti-bribery and corruption prevention etc.)
Active participation in global Legal Department teamwork and in the digitalization of legal activities.
Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Sales, Finance, Operations, etc.
Contribute to process improvement projects and implementation of new policies and procedures.
German-qualified lawyer, preferably German Bar.
~3 to 5 years of practice, including recent and relevant contract negotiation experience (at a law firm or international company).
~ German and English language skills (Advanced/Business proficiency)
Culturally savvy and able to work effectively in a global environment and across numerous legal systems.
Additional language skills (French, Italian, etc.).
