In Faculty IV – Faculty of Sciences and Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science ET-I, Chair of Computer Graphics and Multimedia Systems, we are looking for a research assistant to start on November 1, 2025, under the following conditions:
1. Working hours: 100% position
2. Pay grade 13 TV-L
3. Fixed-term contract until December 31, 2028
Your tasks:
The Chair of Computer Graphics and Multimedia Systems researches methods for processing, merging, and representing real-world scenes using data-driven (machine learning) and model-driven techniques. As part of the DFG research project “Progressive, Spatio-Temporal Consistent Inline Activity Reconstruction and Recognition,” a doctoral position is available with the following responsibilities.
4. Further development and implementation of efficient methods for the representation and fusion of RGB-D, eye-tracking, and IMU sensor data
5. Development of novel methods for the annotation and visually supported analysis of activities and activity sequences, ideally online
6. Evaluation of the developed methods using synthetic and real sensor and scene data
Supervision of student work (bachelor's, master's, project work) within the scope of the project
Your profile:
7. Scientific university degree (master's degree or comparable) in computer science
8. Very good knowledge in computer graphics, programming, good knowledge in model-based and neural 3D scene representation and machine learning
9. Commitment coupled with the ability to work in a team as well as communicative and organizational skills
10. very good knowledge of English
