Tasks
* Contribute to a deeper understanding of nonlinearity suppression in next-generation measurement systems
* Plan and record measurement series and evaluate the results using different statistical metrics
* Extend the existing development environment with additional waveforms to evaluate detection quality before and after applying nonlinear equalizers
* Investigate and compare the performance of different nonlinear equalization approaches depending on calibration intervals in measurement systems
* Document, interpret and present the results as a basis for further project decisions and a potential bachelor's or master's thesis
Qualifications
* You are an enrolled student in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer science, or a comparable field of studies
* You have a basic understanding of digital signal processing and ideally complex baseband signals
* You have initial experience with measurement data analysis, statistical evaluation and/or simulation-based investigations
* Experience with Python and/or Matlab is advantageous
* Ideally, you have an affinity to measurement systems and an interest in calibration methods or nonlinear systems
