Key Credit Support Specialist Job Description
As a key player in our organization, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and evaluating the feasibility of credit requests. Your expertise in structuring solutions within acceptable credit / risk parameters will be crucial in developing our lending portfolio in line with our strategy and risk appetite.
Below are your key responsibilities:
* Analyse complex credit requests independently and develop solutions within agreed-upon credit / risk parameters.
* Ensure that all credit structuring / granting aligns with our Risk Appetite, limits, Policy, and Procedures.
* Provide an accurate credit rating for each request.
* Decide on complex credit files within the Delegation Authority Framework.
* Responsible for business development and revenue growth remaining within our defined Risk Appetite.
* Play a key role in the credit approval process and ensure seamless implementation of credit files based on decisions made.
* Verify data quality of the credit request (in systems and credit sheet).
* Proactively propose solutions to improve processes and enhance data collection.
* Follow up with clients to address issues related to Margin Call and excess of max limit for Lombard Loan.
* Guide team members on various processes and projects; effectively communicate and influence others to achieve desired outcomes.
* Execute client-facing activities efficiently and in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Requirements for Success
* A Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or a relevant position.
* Fluency in English, with proficiency in French being a plus.
* Good understanding of Laws & Regulations, Tax, Data Collection & Analysis, and Systems.
* Strong knowledge of Credit Expertise, Guarantees, Risk Assessment & Mitigation, and Negotiation.
* Exemplary understanding of Credit Products Knowledge, and Policies & Procedures.
* High level of autonomy, sound judgment, and courage when needed.
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
* A positive mindset, open to learning and growth.
* Solution-oriented with complex problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
