About us
The IT department, with its 100 colleagues, supports the approximately 4,000 employees of the Hamburg tax administration with its 14 tax offices and the North German Academy of Finance in all digital matters.
The work is carried out in close cooperation with other authorities of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (FHH), Dataport, the North German states (NdL), and the Germany-wide KONSENS project.
Your new workplace is located in the immediate vicinity of Hamburg Central Station at Steinstraße 10,Hamburg.
Your tasks
* Storage management, user administration, performing updates and new installations, maintenance/migration of databases
* Support for backup and recovery of the Oracle database
* Database design/development and support for developers in the design of data models and queries
* Performance tuning, identification of critical paths, and operation of data model analyses (reverse engineering)
* Analysis of all Oracle errors in cooperation with Oracle Support
Your profile
Required
* University degree (bachelor's or equivalent) in computer science or a comparable field of study, or equivalent skills and experience, with relevant professional experience in the areas covered by the advertised position
* Alternatively: completed training as an IT specialist, systems engineer, IT systems clerk, IT systems electronics technician, or equivalent skills and experience, each with 4 years of relevant professional experience in the areas of responsibility of the advertised position
* Unobjectionable result of a security check in accordance with the Security Check Act (SÜG)
* Fluency in spoken and written German (level C1 of the CEFR)
Advantageous
* Experience in database support and administration, ideally in the public sector
* In-depth knowledge of Oracle and other common databases
* Analytical thinking and structured approach to work
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
* Initiative and sense of responsibility
