Position Overview
A global manufacturing organisation seeks a strategic and hands-on HR Manager to lead the human resources function at its Berlin site.
The HR Director will lead payroll automation, develop internal talent acquisition capability, and foster a compliant, engaged, and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
* Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with company objectives.
* Advise leadership on workforce planning and operational improvements.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
* Build internal hiring capabilities to reduce agency dependency.
* Enhance employee retention and develop robust succession plans.
Operational HR Excellence
* Oversee payroll, time tracking system implementation, and lifecycle management.
* Implement HRIS and digitalisation processes for efficiency gains.
Labour Relations & Compliance
* Maintain compliance with German labour laws and manage works council relations.
* Proactively address employee relations and labour disputes.
Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related fields; advanced degrees preferred.
Experience:
* 8–10 years of progressive HR leadership in manufacturing, FMCG, or similar.
* Expertise in payroll automation, talent acquisition, and retention strategies.
* Familiarity with post-merger HR integration is advantageous.
Languages:
* Fluency in German and English required.
