Job Responsibilities: Develop new techniques to connect legacy equipment to modern infrastructure Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes Create IoT applications that run on-premises and in the cloud Support creation of technical guidelines, standards and templates for digitalization projects to be scaled across the MML group Support the creation of an OT architecture for MML divisions Interface with corporate support divisions to Implement digitalization projects Receive and provide training to divisional teams related to digitalization Develop KPIs, metrics and other monitoring tools to track I4.0 production environments Provide detailed specifications to proposed solutions including materials, external services and internal resources required Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production Professional Experience and Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems or equivalent proof of baseline knowledge 3 years experience in software development Experience with programming language (ex. Python, C#, JavaScript, C++) Experience with databases and different types of data storage Skills and Competencies: Good understanding of IoT, security, communication protocols (MQTT), UNS (Unified Name Space) Familiar with PLC programming in Siemens and Rockwell controllers, among others Familiar with source control tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub) Familiar with cloud architecture Knowledge of industrial IoT sensor connectivity, data acquisition and data historian software Knowledge of different project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile Familiar with Robot programming and SCADA software is a plus Able to exercise independent judgement and take action on it Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong customer service orientation Able to persuade / influence stakeholders to drive optimization and standards Awareness, Unity, Empowerment: At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
