Principle duties and essential functions Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual statements under IFRS/European GAAP and US GAAP; coordinate group consolidation Operational Accounting: Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, intercompany reconciliations, payroll accounting, and related provisions Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to all regulations, tax requirements, and SOX standards; strengthen internal control systems US Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for finance matters with the US parent company Audit Management: Manage statutory and internal audits, working closely with auditors Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the international accounting team Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies, support ERP (SAP) projects Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, HR, Operations, and Corporate Finance Knowledge, skills and experience required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent is required Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 8 years in a management or leadership role within an international or multinational company Expertise in IFRS/European GAAP and US GAAP, with SOX experience Strong knowledge of European tax and statutory requirements Fluency in German and English; additional languages a plus Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills Preferred Experience in US-listed companies Leading teams across multiple European jurisdictions Familiarity with transfer pricing and international tax structures Benefits Possibility to work in an international, multicultural environment Strong team-oriented and friendly work culture Internal training program Fitness-, travel cost- and kindergarten allowance as well as drinks and fruits for free Employee discounts e. g. for events and branded products
