YOUR ROLE AT SIXT
* You lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, coaching frontend, backend, and AI engineers to foster ownership, collaboration and excellence
* You own the technical direction of distributed service architecture, guiding the team toward scalable, reliable and observable systems
* You drive AI-powered software engineering to translate prototypes into reliable, safe and measurable agentic solutions
* You guarantee seamless end-to-end consistency across the customer experience
* You align stakeholders across divisions and collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth and scalable delivery
YOUR SKILLS MATTER
* Experience You bring proven experience in software engineering leadership managing complex architectures and production systems on AWS
* Know-how You have strong expertise in distributed system design, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures and cloud-native delivery
* Skills You are proficient in Java backend software engineering and familiar with AI and agentic coding
* Motivation You champion operational excellence through observability, on-call culture and incident learning
* Team Spirit You collaborate naturally across functions and international teams, aligning engineers, product owners and business stakeholders
