As Head of Revenue, based at our Hamburg HQ, you lead and scale OceanScore’s global commercial operations. SaaS solutions are at the core of our business, suplemented by data products – all driving efficiency and transparency in managing maritime emissions and respective regulation. You own the company’s revenue performance — building the strategy, structure, and processes that turn opportunities into sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Support, ensuring commercial excellence across all product lines and regions.
You’ll operate in a fast-moving, intellectually demanding environment where analytically sharp thinking, strategy and real-world execution go hand in hand while you drive smart problem solving, curiosity, and substance. As part of the Management Team (alongside the Managing Directors, Head of Product, Head of Marketing, Head of Customer Support, and Head of People & Culture), you shape OceanScore’s overall direction while leading a distributed team of seven key account managers and one revenue ops specialist (based in Hamburg, Greece, Japan, and Singapore) — with more to come as you scale the function.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Drive revenue growth with a focus on new business across the verticals served (shipping companies, ports and ship financing banks, insurances, asset managers) ensuring alignment with company objectives and growth ambitions.
* Professionalize sales processes and contribute to OceanScore’s strategic development by adding the customers’ voice as well as own, broader strategic perspectives.
* Drive personal and professional development of sales team, leading a field sales force of seven across Germany, Greece, Singapore and Japan as well as one Revenue Operations Working Student.
* Work closely with Marketing to develop and execute targeted campaigns and events as well as with Customer Service to secure customer retention and enhance customer experience
What You Bring
* Proven experience leading and scaling commercial teams in an international B2B SaaS or tech-driven startup or scale-up.
* Strategic and analytical mindset — able to connect insight, structure, and execution to drive outcomes.
* Previous experience and motivation to build sales processes, implement tools, and lead teams spanning different solutions and / or regions.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, combining clarity, confidence, and empathy.
* Fluent English and a global mindset.
