KG Organization SE CEO Business Unit Company Development Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Power Electronics Engineer (f/m/d), you will drive the development of next generation converter systems for high power and high voltage applications across renewable energy, smart grids, industrial systems, and advanced power distribution technologies. Your work will span from conceptual design and modeling to prototype validation and system optimization, ensuring high efficiency, reliability, and innovation in modern power electronics solutions. How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead architecture, design, and development of advanced converter systems, including multilevel topologies, DC DC converters, and medium voltage hardware platforms
2. Define and optimize semiconductor selection, gate driver concepts, protection circuits, and integration strategies for high performance converter systems
3. Develop and validate control algorithms, modulation strategies, and system level control concepts for improved performance, stability, and protection
4. Perform advanced simulations—including thermal, electromagnetic, switching, and control modeling—to ensure robust design and reliable operation under varying conditions
5. Guide prototype development, laboratory validation, and commissioning activities in alignment with safety and quality standards
6. Collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve seamless hardware software co design and integration
7. Stay at the forefront of emerging power electronics technologies and contribute to innovation through publications, patents, and R&D roadmaps
8. Mentor junior engineers and provide expert guidance on complex technical challenges
What You Bring
9. PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
10. Several years of experience in converter development—covering hardware, control, or both—with a proven track record in high power or medium voltage applications.
11. Deep knowledge of power semiconductor technologies (IGBT, SiC, GaN), converter protection principles, digital control, and gate driver implementations.
12. Strong proficiency in simulation and design tools (, MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice, Altium).
13. Excellent analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and creativity in developing technical solutions.
14. Ability to lead developments, influence technical directions, and support the growth of less experienced engineers.
15. Fluent in English; German at C1 level is appreciated.
