Summary
For the "Test Hardware" department, we are looking for a "Design Engineer (mechanical and electrical) for Test Systems (f/m/d)" at the Ulm site as soon as possible.
The team, consisting of approx. 20 employees, designs, develops, constructs and integrates production and customer testers for radar, electronic warfare and avionics systems for vehicles, airplanes, helicopters and ships. The test systems typically consist of a 19" rack based on purchased components with project-specific plug-in units and an electrical, mechanical and thermal test adaptation to simulate the real application.
Your Tasks
1. Designing electro-mechanical assemblies and systems
2. Designing electrical connection components, wiring assemblies and cables, taking into account electrical and economic aspects
3. Documenting development results in the form of drawings, overview and circuit diagrams, parts lists and delivery specifications
4. Specifying materials and manufacturing processes
5. Determine adjustment groups and production-oriented shape and position tolerances based on required accuracies
6. Technical reviews and checking of drawing sets
7. Production and integration support
Your Profile
8. Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering / mechanical engineering or comparable
9. Experience as a design engineer, ideally for precision mechanical components and electromechanical assemblies advantageous
10. Knowledge of SAP for document management
11. CAD knowledge in Siemens NX advantageous
12. Knowledge of SAP ERP & PLM advantageous
13. Good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
14. Initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. Fluency in German and advanced knowledge of English
