In this role, you will be responsible for the integration, verification, and validation of military communication and avionics systems within complex aircraft platforms. Working as part of system integration and verification teams, you will ensure that communication and mission systems are reliable, interoperable, and certification-ready. The focus will be on system testing, troubleshooting, and supporting military qualification and certification campaigns.

Join our team in a permanent internal position as a CIS Communication System Integration Tester (m/f/x) – Military Avionics at our Donauwörth location with the following responsibilities:

• Integrate CIS subsystems (COM, NAV, DATACOM, Mission Systems) into avionics architectures
• Perform system, subsystem, and end-to-end testing on SIL, HIL, and qualification test benches
• Validate military communication standards such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429/664, SATCOM, and HF/VHF/UHF systems
• Analyze system and interface requirements and create and execute test procedures and test scripts
• Conduct fault-insertion and robustness testing
• Perform fault analysis and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network layers
• Create test reports, verification matrices, and non-conformance reports
• Support military certification and qualification campaigns (e.g., airworthiness, interoperability, and safety assessments)

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable field
• Strong understanding of avionics architectures and Communication & Information Systems (CIS)
• Experience with bench testing and SIL/HIL test environments
• Knowledge of embedded systems, networking, and communication protocols
• Experience in test automation, ideally using Python or scripting languages
• Solid Linux skills and experience in debugging and fault isolation
• Ability to work in safety-critical and/or classified environments
• Excellent English communication skills
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
