We are looking for a Junior Ground Data Systems Engineer to join the EUMETSAT Polar System Second Generation (EPS-SG) team at EUMETSAT that automates integration and deployment of mission-critical control applications for spacecraft operations and administer cloud-based systems. The Engineer will support the team in the end-to-end system validation and verification of spacecraft monitoring and control systems within development and operational environments. Development and Maintenance of MDS (Mission Data Systems), as Simulators, Mission Control System, Satellite Operating System, Mission Planning System, etc.; Support to Mission’s critical activities; Support MDS development lifecycle, in particular integration, deployment and testing phases; Support the coherent system and mission specific configuration of the different systems; Experience with one of the Satellite Ground Data System products (e.g. MICONYS Software Suite, SCOS-2000, EGS-CC, EGOS MPS, SIMSAT, highfly, FreeFlyer, Pleniter, or similar); Knowledge of at least one programming and scripting language (Bash, C/C++, Java, Python); Proficiency in English (EU C1 Level), both in speech and writing.
