Director Strategic Business Development (m/f/x) Job Summary This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving Allianz Direct Germany’s digital growth agenda. The position focuses on designing, steering, and delivering digital growth projects and new product launches. It ensures seamless collaboration between Business and IT to accelerate execution and embed a growth mindset across the organization. In this role, you will act as a catalyst for innovation and customer-centric digital services and you will be measured in business impact and return on investment. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Own the overall digital growth strategy and execution for Allianz Direct Germany. • Define and implement growth initiatives, including new product offerings and services. • Ensure strategic alignment and measurable business impact of all growth projects. Operational Excellence • Lead and monitor the execution of all projects within the defined growth program. • Define and manage requirements between Business and IT for successful delivery. • Track KPIs and performance metrics to ensure timely and effective outcomes. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management • Manage interfaces across Marketing & Sales, Product & Pricing, and Operations. • Drive close collaboration with IT for technical implementation of growth initiatives. • Promote and embed a growth-oriented culture across all relevant teams. Innovation & Customer Centricity • Initiate and implement creative ideas for digital growth and innovation. • Develop customer-centric digital services and solutions. • Act as a role model for growth ambition within the organization. Required Experience & Qualifications • Proven track record in delivering digital growth projects within the insurance industry. • Extensive experience in digital sales and marketing (ideally 8 years). • Strong knowledge of motor and property insurance products. • Demonstrated ability to manage Business-IT requirements and cross-functional projects. • Leadership experience in managing diverse teams across business and IT functions. • University degree in business administration, Finance, Economics or related field. • Optimally in an international context and strong connection to IT/technology. Technical Skills (Mandatory) • Expertise in digital sales platforms and marketing automation tools. • Proficiency in project management software and methodologies. • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making. • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems. • Understanding of IT infrastructure and digital product development processes.
