About the Project
A major insurance organisation is undergoing a large‑scale modernisation programme, migrating long‑standing legacy systems within the trade credit insurance domain to a modern SaaS platform. You will play a key role in analysing legacy environments, defining data migration concepts, and ensuring the successful transition into the new cloud‑based architecture.
This is a highly collaborative role involving business teams, IT, international development groups, and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse existing policy administration and related legacy systems
* Conduct structural and data analysis, including dependencies and data repositories
* Develop migration strategies, rule sets, and SQL‑based specifications
* Define functional migration concepts and data flows
* Support data validation, test data creation, and quality assurance
* Collaborate closely with database specialists and external suppliers
* Business Analysis & Functional Design
* Review and refine existing mapping rules
* Lead functional aspects of migration testing
* Translate business needs into requirements for the new SaaS target system
* Design end‑to‑end processes including interfaces and orchestrated data flows
* Create functional test concepts and oversee end‑to‑end testing
* Execute tests with suppliers and QA teams
* Perform large‑scale data validation, regression checks, and analysis
* Document processes and manage testing via Jira, XRay, and Confluence
Tech & Tools
* SQL, complex database analysis (DB2, VSAM)
* Mainframe‑based source systems
* Jira, XRay, Confluence, MS Teams
* SAFe delivery environment
What You Bring
* Strong experience in data migration projects (must‑have)
* Background in legacy/mainframe systems (must‑have)
* Deep understanding of complex database structures
* Insurance industry experience (highly beneficial)
* Experience with large‑scale transformation or SaaS migration projects
* Ability to work independently across multiple workstreams
* Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
