Pace Engineering and IT, part of the Aerospace & Aviation Business Unit of TXT Group, is looking for a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to join our Sales Team.
The selected candidate will work on technological and innovative projects in the Aerospace and Defence sector, in close collaboration with the Italian team and within an international environment.
Main Responsibilities
Develop the Aerospace & Defence market in Germany, with a focus on software, systems, and testing engineering services;
Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the definition of penetration strategies and account development plans for target customers (OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers);
Manage and expand business relationships with key clients and technical stakeholders across German competence centers (particularly in Southern Germany);
Collaborate with the Engineering Services team to deliver high-value technological solutions in areas such as avionics, simulation, digital twin, verification & validation, and software engineering;
Participate in bidding, proposal management, and contract negotiation activities, in coordination with the commercial and legal teams;
Support the preparation of technical and commercial offers and the company’s competitive positioning with major industry players.
Required Technical Skills
3+ years of experience in business development or account management within the Aerospace & Defence sector, ideally with engineering service providers or technology consulting companies (ESN, IT consulting, engineering firms);
Direct experience with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers (e.g. Airbus, Hensoldt, Diehl, ESG, MBDA, Leonardo, etc.);
Knowledge of procurement processes and market dynamics in the Aerospace/Defence domain;
Ability to understand technical needs and translate them into value propositions and integrated solutions;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and preferably CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce).
Language Requirements
Excellent command of English and German; knowledge of Italian will be considered a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or equivalent disciplines.
Soft Skills
Result-oriented mindset, strong business acumen, outstanding interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
