Overview Director, Head of Commercial Law & Intellectual Property – Berlin, Germany. Lead Delivery Hero’s Commercial, IT and IP legal affairs to support growth and ensure regulatory compliance across markets. Responsibilities Lead and mentor an international legal team in Berlin handling commercial law, IT, IP and unfair competition matters. Manage trademark and domain portfolios and lead enforcement across brands and markets. Develop and execute IP strategy to protect assets across products and services (online ordering, logistics, cloud kitchens, fintech, software). Provide product counseling and advise on platform regulation initiatives across jurisdictions; support business units exploring new models and strategic opportunities. Advise on IP and IT aspects of M&A transactions; support separation and post-merger integration activities. Navigate complex commercial transactions and oversee investigations, litigation and arbitration; drive harmonization of internal legal processes and tooling, including AI adoption. Qualifications Fully qualified to practice law in Germany (Volljurist) with 8+ years post-qualification experience in law firms and in-house. Experience leading people; at least 4 years in a senior management role. Self-motivated, business-minded and solution-driven; able to provide pragmatic and timely legal advice. Experience with large trademark portfolios; passion for transformation, legal operations and building efficient workflows across entities and markets. Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in executive communication and presentations (Gslides/PowerPoint). Open to international travel on short notice (up to 10% of yearly time).
