As a Sales Representative for Labfolder, you will be integral in strengthening and expanding our position as a market leader in electronic lab notebooks across the global scientific and laboratory sectors. In this role, you’ll identify and acquire new customers through consultative selling and ensure our solutions evolve to meet their changing needs. As part of our young and dynamic team, you’ll help shape the Labfolder Business Development & Sales team, directly fueling our growth and driving forward the evolution of lab technology. What you'll do Customer Enablement through Consultative Selling Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing, including both individual sales and tender processes Proactively identify and engage with potential customers across key segments in academic research and industry to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships Represent Labforward at trade shows, industry conferences and startup events to network and generate qualified leads Understand customer challenges in laboratory workflows and be a true product expert, advising customers on how to implement an ELN and optimize usage of Labfolder based on their specific needs to fully exploit the value of our ELN Customize proposals and pitch decks based on the unique needs of each customer Deliver tailored, engaging product demonstrations—both remotely and on-site—that showcase Labfolder’s capabilities as the optimal solution for scientific data management and collaboration Internally, you represent the interests of the customers, ensuring their needs and feedback are reflected in our offerings Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team to ensure seamless implementation of Labfolder and onboarding for new customers From Insight to Impact: Driving Market Growth Contribute to the business development strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Product Development, Marketing and Customer Success Collect customer feedback and market insights to inform product enhancements and Labfolder’s USP positioning within the competitive landscape Partner with the marketing team to develop and refine materials that effectively communicate Labfolder’s value proposition Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize the sales process as well as to enhance the overall customer experience Key challenges for this role - Are you up for it? Driving digital transformation: Proactively educate and convince prospects to replace traditional lab notebooks with Labfolder’s modern ELN solution Differentiating Labfolder effectively: Strategically position Labfolder’s unique advantages to stand out in a competitive ELN and lab technology landscape Managing diverse sales cycles: Lead and coordinate the sales process across multiple scientific, technical and administrative decision-makers in organizations of various sizes and scientific disciplines in academia and industry Your profile Empathetic and customer-oriented, with a genuine desire to understand customer goals and improve the daily work of scientists through innovative technology Strong relationship builder who earns trust and fosters long-term connections with customers Resilient and optimistic in the face of challenges, viewing setbacks as opportunities for learning and growth Results-driven and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to achieving targets Creative problem-solver with an analytical mindset and a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles Detail-oriented and precise, ensuring accuracy in communication, execution and follow-through Comfortable navigating fast-paced, agile environments and adapting quickly to shifting priorities Enthusiastic team player who collaborates effectively across cross-functional teams Committed to continuous learning, improvement and contributing to a supportive, positive and high-performing team culture Readiness to travel Job experience General industry experience preferred (e.g. chemistry, pharma, device manufacturer) Laboratory work / academic experience preferred (e.g. Bachelor or Master degree in Life Sciences / technical background) Nice to have: Familiarity with electronic lab notebooks (ELN), Laboratory information management systems (LIMS), laboratory execution systems (LES) Experience with CRM tools Basic understanding of software architecture and APIs Proven experience in B2B SaaS sales or related fields, preferably within scientific or technical industries, handling the entire sales cycle—from lead generation through to contract closure Experience in conducting in-person or online workshops Familiarity with data management and compliance standards (e.g. FAIR, ISO standards, FDA CFR 21 Part 11) Existing network within biotech, R&D, or academic sectors Language proficiency German: Fluent to business fluent (C1) English: Fluent to business fluent (C1) Additional language skills that can help enter new markets Why Labforward?
