* Strategic Leadership: Defining the technical roadmap, setting product vision, and conducting market research to guide development;
* Product Development & Design: Leading the design and testing of electronic subsystems and components, including PCB development, electrical engineering, and hardware-software integration;
* Team Management: Mentoring junior engineers, hiring, setting performance targets, and managing cross-functional R&D teams;
* Proposals: Coordinating the preparation of proposals for existing electronics products and for the development / manufacturing of new space electronics designs;
* Budget & Project Management: Preparing project budgets, tracking and optimizing, as well as managing timelines, milestones, and resource allocation;
* Compliance & Quality Control: Ensuring all products meet safety regulations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements;
* Manufacturing & Production Support: Collaborating with manufacturing teams, managing production quality, and ensuring smooth scaling from prototype to mass production;
* Stakeholder Communication: Reporting on progress to stakeholders and coordinating with other departments (mechanics, software, marketing).
Your skills and experience
* Master’s degree in Electronics or a related field;
* In‑depth knowledge of institutional/commercial space project lifecycles;
* Strong familiarity with ECSS standards;
* Proven experience in space electronics design and verification;
* Hands‑on, proactive, and solution‑oriented mindset, resilience, pragmatism and flexibility;
* Team player with good organisational and communication skills within an international team;
* Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and leadership competence;
* Motivational and collaborative leadership style that fosters engagement and high performance;
* Fluent in English – good knowledge of German would be a definite advantage.
