You're the technical architect who transforms our marketing data chaos into a competitive advantage. You'll own the complete infrastructure that connects web → tracking → data warehouse → insights, building the systems that enable the marketing team to make fast, data-driven decisions without waiting on IT tickets.
This isn't about maintaining tools -it's about architecting how we collect, structure, and leverage marketing data to drive revenue growth. You're the bridge between marketing strategy and technical execution, translating "we need better attribution" into server-side tracking implementations that actually work.
The Problem You'll Solve
Right now, our marketing team can't get the data they need when they need it, without spending time building ad-hoc reports.
* Analytics isn't self-service-every question requires engineering time
* We lack proper data architecture for marketing attribution and optimization
* Advanced martech capabilities (server-side GTM, conversions APIs, offline events) aren't implemented
* Marketing can't clearly communicate technical needs to data engineers: we know what we can't measure but we can't explain why
* We're not systematically leveraging AI and automation to scale
You're the person who fixes this-permanently.
What You'll Own
Marketing Data Architecture
* Design the complete marketing data model from web interactions through GA4, GTM, ad platforms, and into our data warehouse
* Define data structures, taxonomies, and schemas that enable self-service analytics
* Architect data flows that support real-time optimization and automated decision-making
* Partner with data engineers-you spec exactly what marketing needs, they build it
* Document everything so the team can find answers independently
Martech Stack Mastery
* Own and optimize our complete stack: GTM (client + server-side), GA4, HubSpot, ad platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn), Stape, SEMrush, Search Console, consent management
* Implement advanced tracking: Meta Conversions API, Google Ads offline conversions, enhanced conversions, server-side tagging infrastructure
* Build and maintain integrations that ensure seamless data flow across systems
* Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain 99%+ uptime on critical infrastructure
Analytics Enablement
* Build dashboards and measurement frameworks that answer the team's top questions
* Design attribution models that accurately represent marketing impact
* Create data structures enabling rapid experimentation and testing
* Translate business questions into technical requirements
* Ensure data quality through monitoring and governance
AI & Automation
* Continuously evaluate and implement AI tools for optimization, personalization, and efficiency
* Build automation workflows that scale marketing without linear headcount growth
* Stay ahead of martech trends and bring innovation to the team
Cross-Functional Technical Translation
* Be the liaison between marketing, data engineering, analytics, and HubSpot architects
* Translate marketing needs into crystal-clear technical specs
* Explain technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders in plain language
* Drive projects to completion across functional boundaries
What Success Looks Like
Data-Driven Decisions Enabled
* Marketing team answers 80% of questions independently through self-service dashboards
* Attribution and performance data flows in real-time, not days later
* Clear documentation means anyone can find the data they need
Marketing Efficiency Gains
* Server-side tracking and conversions APIs improve ad platform performance by 15-30%
* Better data management reduces wasted ad spend and improves CAC
* Automated reporting saves 10+ hours per week of manual work
Scalable Systems
* Processes and infrastructure scale with business growth without proportional complexity
* AI/automation implementations multiply team output
* New team members onboard to data systems in days, not weeks
You're The Right Fit If...
Track Record Over Years
We don't care if you have 3 years or 10 years of experience. We care that you've:
* Cracked data structure & automated reporting that enables decisions
* Implemented server-side tracking, conversions APIs, and solved privacy/tracking challenges before
* Successfully translated between technical and non-technical teams
* Shipped projects that measurably improved marketing performance at scale
AI-Fluent & Innovation-Obsessed
* You're constantly trying to scale your work via tools like Claude, N8N, Make…
* You've fantasized AI/ML solutions that drove real marketing improvements
* You can code/script enough to prototype solutions and evaluate technical feasibility
Marketing Nerd or Engineer-Turned-Marketer
* Either: You came from marketing and fell in love with the technical side-GTM is your happy place, you geek out over data models, and you'd rather fix tracking than run ads
* Or: You're an engineer/analyst who discovered marketing is more interesting than pure backend work-you understand the business context and want to see your work drive revenue
Technical Depth in These Areas
* Deep GTM expertise: Server-side implementations, custom JavaScript, complex tracking scenarios
* GA4 mastery: Data model, BigQuery integration, advanced configurations
* Ad platform integrations: Proven experience with Meta Conversions API, Google Ads offline conversions, enhanced conversions
* HubSpot (or similar MAP): Workflow automation, data management, integrations
* Data fundamentals: Can write SQL, understand database design, explain data modeling concepts
* Privacy & compliance: GDPR, CCPA, cookie consent, first-party data strategies
* APIs & integrations: Comfortable with webhooks, API documentation, integration patterns
Communication is Your Superpower
* You can explain why server-side tracking matters to a VP who doesn't know what a cookie is
* You can write technical specs that data engineers execute without asking clarifying questions
* You create documentation that actually gets used
Soft Traits - You Are Someone Who:
* Bring a solution and needs rather than excuses - You move fast and unblock yourself
* Questions everything - "Why do we track it this way?" is your favorite question
* Ships and iterates - 80% implemented beats 100% planned
* Thinks in systems - You build frameworks, not one-off solutions
* Is obsessed with leverage - How can this scale 10x without 10x effort?
* Has contagious curiosity - Your excitement about a new tool gets the team moving
What Makes You Stand Out
* You have a GitHub with side projects or a blog where you share martech knowledge
* You've navigated iOS 14.5/privacy regulations while maintaining measurement capabilities
* You're active in martech communities and known for helping others solve problems
* You've built internal tools or Chrome extensions to solve workflow problems
* You can show examples of technical projects you unstuck through creative problem-solving
What's In It For You
* Real ownership: Significantly elevate the marketing data infrastructure from the ground up
* Direct revenue impact: Your work directly improves CAC, attribution, and pipeline visibility
* Autonomy & trust: Move fast, make decisions, experiment with new tools
* Learn and grow: Work alongside a revenue marketing team that values technical excellence
* Be the expert: You're the person everyone comes to when they need martech/data solved
* Impact the life of millions of children: it's not only tech for fun, we're helping the early years
And who are Famly...?
At Famly, we're on a mission to give children the best possible start to life by supporting the people who make that happen every day: early-years professionals.
It all started when our co-founder Henrik dropped off his daughter at daycare and realised how much was still being done with pen and paper—and how distant that made him feel from her day. Together with Anders, now our CEO, they set out to build software that bridges that gap.
Today, Famly is used by 34,000+ childcare professionals and hundreds of thousands of parents to:
* Communicate in real-time
* Reduce admin stress
* Improve planning, pedagogy, and finances
* And ultimately, give more time to the little ones that matter most
Want to help us do even more of that? We'd love to have you.
Ready to apply? We're hiring right now, so don't wait around.
