A leading sensor technology company based in Reutlingen are seeking to bolster their team with a talented, self-driven PCB Layout Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Actively contribute to new product introduction (NPI) projects and application development, collaborating closely with firmware, software, and system engineers
* Design and modify hardware, including circuits, PCB layouts, and 3D models, to meet the needs of characterization, sensor fusion, and application teams
* Develop project-specific hardware solutions such as demo kits, internal setups, customer demonstrators, and early samples, while coordinating with external development partners
* Plan, implement, and execute hardware tests for product release, supporting end-of-line setups for component and module assembly
* Maintain and improve existing automotive hardware, working alongside quality and operations teams to drive continuous improvements and address customer complaints through root cause analysis
Requirements:
* Education & Background
: M.Sc. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years of experience in electronics.
* Technical Expertise
: Strong in circuit design and PCB layout (Altium, Eagle, KiCad), plus experience in 3D CAD modeling (Fusion 360, Solidworks).
* Automotive Focus
: Hands-on experience in automotive hardware development; familiarity with Automotive SPICE, functional safety, and ASIL is a plus.
* Additional Skills
: Knowledge of communication interfaces (LIN, I2C, SPI, CAN, Serial); software/firmware knowledge is advantageous.
* Communication
: Effective English & German (B2) communication skills required.
