We are currently looking for a full-time position:

Associate BD Manager RMS (m/f/d)

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales targets for the assigned region for all Charles River products and services into accounts in a designated geographical region. This position requires frequent domestic and international travel.


* Work closely with both the specialist sales staff and management teams to increase market share of both in-house and outsourced revenue spend at assigned accounts or within a geographical territory.
* Meet or exceed overall revenue targets and business objectives.
* With direction and support from management and peers, generate account-specific sales strategies to sell all company products and services.
* Work with management to prepare and provide accurate account forecasts for assigned accounts/territories throughout the year to track achievements versus goals.
* Develop and qualify account leads through frequent customer visits, e-mail and video contact.
* Gather data on potential customers and competitive behavior in their designated geographic region.
* Build relationships with customers to apply the global sales programs (CHALLENGER + JOLT) to consult for and influence towards the acceptance and use of company products and services.
* Communicate available products and services and inform customers of new products and services in a timely manner.
* Handle initial inquiries and qualify all prospective opportunities. Identify the drug development business model at these accounts and effectively communicate the value proposition of the company's products and services and share this via the DSA-RMS Pullthrough initiative.
* Work closely with the specialist sales staff to ensure that the customer has a cohesive and responsive team throughout the sales process.
* Work with management and peers to prepare and implement a comprehensive territory management plan within Salesforce (SFDC) to identify target opportunities, potential new accounts, expansion of existing accounts and an analysis of competitor accounts.
* Gather data on marketing trends and competitive products and pricing.
* All planning, customer contacts, e-mail conversations, opportunity management and task assignments are mandatory to be done and documented within SalesForce (SFDC) as the CRM of choice of Charles River.
* Complete all required sales documentation in a timely manner, usually within 48hrs.
* Participate in sales meetings and trade shows as required.
* Share customer problems/concerns with all appropriate departments for quality resolution.
* Perform all other related duties as assigned.

* Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in life sciences, sales or related discipline. Direct working experience with Laboratory Rodent Animal Models is mandatory.
* Experience: Minimum 1 year of sales experience, preferably in life science industry.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
* Certification/Licensure: Valid driver's license required.
* Other: Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Proficient in the use of standard office computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, e-mail).
