Tasks: Develop and maintain end‑to‑end system architectures that align with programme objectives and stakeholder requirements. Lead system design activities following the V‑Model, covering concept development through verification and validation. Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to support system definition, trade‑off analyses, and requirements modelling. Manage system requirements and traceability using tools such as IBM DOORS. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including hardware, software, safety, and integration specialists. Define and manage enterprise architecture frameworks to ensure consistency across platforms and capabilities. Present complex architectural concepts clearly to senior stakeholders, customers, and programme leadership.
Experience: Proven experience as a Systems Architect or similar role within the defence, aerospace, or security sector. Strong understanding and practical application of V‑Model systems engineering. Expertise with MBSE tools and methods (e.g., SysML, Cameo, Capella). Proficiency with IBM DOORS for requirement management and traceability. Experience developing enterprise architecture artefacts and frameworks. Background working in highly regulated environments with rigorous safety, security, and compliance standards. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
