Your tasks
• Responsibility for the design and layout of the engine room equipment and adjacent areas
• Ensuring that all components are functionally and technically optimally integrated
• Integration of devices, drive systems and supply systems in the context of operational, assembly and maintenance requirements
• Taking over and responsibility for system coordination and the spatial arrangement of pipelines for drive technology, supply and disposal systems, cable trays, and air conditioning and ventilation ducts in the 3D CAD model
• Deriving construction documents from the digital model, as well as creating technical documentation and maintaining the associated parts lists throughout the entire project.
• Ensuring the flow of information between adjacent coordinators and system owners by coordinating and structuring coordination within departments as well as with the equipment, shipbuilding and manufacturing departments.
Your profile
• Completed studies in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, plant engineering or a comparable field with several years of professional experience
• Alternatively, completed technical training with sound practical experience in the described field of work
• Several years of experience in the design and system integration of complex technical systems, ideally in a maritime environment
• Proficient use of 3D CAD systems (preferably Siemens NX), product lifecycle management systems (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter) and common MS Office applications
Desired qualifications:
• Secure communication in German and English for cross-site and cross-border coordination
Additional requirements:
• Willingness to undertake occasional business trips within Germany (approx. 5%)
• Creativity and solution-oriented approach, as well as interest in participating in the continuous improvement process
• Structured, independent work style, team spirit and strong coordination skills
• Sound understanding of design that is suitable for manufacturability, functional and cost-conscious
