Senior Account Engineer
AUFGABEN
* Position Summary:
* The position includes primarily field work with on demand presence at the office in Darmstadt for report writing, preparation, project handling, participation in meetings and training, etc. The territory to be covered shall consist primarily of Germany and adjoining European countries but may on occasions involve worldwide assignments.
* Responsibilities:
* Field Surveys - conduct property loss control surveys to evaluate the property and business interruption. exposures at client facilities based on NFPA Standards and others as appropriate.
* Develop recommendations based on standards to include loss estimates before and after completion of the recommendations.
* Evaluate automatic fire protection and water supply systems.
* Report and evaluate building construction, occupancy, special and natural hazards.
* Develop loss estimates based on scenarios such as the Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
* Provides training and peer review for other consultants; serve as a technical resource to other consultants.
* Services provided to clients includes training, manual and program development, code or regulatory interpretation.
* May prepare and present proposals, develop service instructions, solicit client feedback and prepare stewardship reports.
* Work assigned is typically of higher technical need as well as being in direct contact with upper client management, including risk managers, financial managers and other decision makers.
* Professional conduct and excellent written/verbal communication skills are required as the position requires direct contact with upper client management, including risk managers, financial managers, and other decision makers.
* Provide project management services to include special visits, plan reviews and oral/written presentation to clients.
* Actively manage your work assigned in the database.
QUALIFIKATIONEN
* Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Must be in possession of a valid driver's license for passenger cars.
* A willingness to travel by air
* Solid mastery of the German and English spoken and written language.
* Extensive knowledge of the relevant loss prevention guidelines (VdS/FM/NFPA/local) as well as the willingness to undergo further training in that area.
* Familiarity with reviewing and responding to communication from clients and internal communication.
* Ability to carry out field work, report writing, consulting, and plan review.
* Ability to review workloads and revise accordingly.
* Must be able to: climb ladders; lift/carry up to 50 Ibs; stoop, crouch, crawl; traverse catwalks.
