Direct impact: Your decisions influence a company that supports millions of doctors worldwide Growth environment: Shape the future landscape of our accounting structures Your responsibilities Team leadership: Professional and disciplinary leadership of the General Ledger team Financial closings: Independent responsibility for monthly and annual closings under German GAAP from execution to final preparation of financial statements and shareholder reporting Audit management: Independent and comprehensive management of annual audits Standards & compliance: Monitoring compliance with accounting standards (German GAAP, prospectively IFRS/US-GAAP) Valuation & accounting: Performing complex valuation and accounting tasks Process innovation: Continuous optimization of daily accounting routines and active participation in the transition to AI-First accounting Multi-entity management: Managing all accounting tasks for our subsidiaries in Germany, USA, and Italy Cross-functional support: Supporting other accounting areas (AR, AP, Tax) Special projects: Participation in M&A, system implementations, and group consolidation What fits you Completed commercial training or Business/Finance/Accounting degree with additional qualification (certified accountant, tax advisor, or equivalent) At least 5 years of successfully mastered balance sheet accounting under German GAAP You lead with empathy and enjoy developing your team (3 years experience) You love diving deep into complex accounting and valuation questions and how to solve them German GAAP expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of German GAAP accounting Strong analytical and communication skills You take accountability for your department manage and proactively seek support when you need it Innovation readiness: Enthusiasm for optimizing accounting processes with cutting-edge AI technologies Multilingual: Excellent English skills as our company language, and good German skills for preparing German financial statements (especially notes and management reports) and researching German accounting standards. Don't worry if your German is a bit rusty - we'll actively support you in improving it About language skills You don't need to speak perfect German! And if it's challenging for you to speak English at first, we actively support you. What's important is your openness and willingness to actively invest time in improving your language skills in German and/or English. German and English courses are part of your benefits package.
