You will commission the Siemens Energy Grid Technology scope on large‑scale projects such as world‑class HVDC Systems, Power Transmission Systems, and Grid Stabilizing Systems, actively contributing to the energy transition. Your daily work involves interacting with employees on site and at test fields worldwide, coordinating assignments with resource managers and HUB managers, interviewing and onboarding new staff, and driving training and development. You will also lead process improvements, cost‑out initiatives, risk mitigation, and maintain close alignment with customer needs and business objectives. How You’ll Make An Impact Management, strategic development and resource planning of your international team of HVDC commissioning engineers for worldwide activities Maintain availability and structure of the Commissioning team to deliver the business project pipeline and ambitious ramp‑up strategy; plan headcount, recruit staff, and secure temporary labor via external suppliers Responsibility, development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in commissioning activities Monitor the performance of commissioning engineers in terms of time, cost, and quality objectives of the projects Ensure work systems, strengthen safety awareness and implement Zero Harm principles in collaboration with project, site and department management Encourage and empower team members by exemplifying a feedback culture and SE leadership principles Develop and promote commissioning engineers according to their strengths and development opportunities What You Bring Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable training/qualification Professional experience in commissioning or engineering of large‑scale international projects Experience in leading and developing international teams Experience in HVDC systems (control, regulation, measurement, protection and communication systems) is an advantage Proficient handling of resource planning, planning tools and processes Ability to work in a team, precise work, a high degree of initiative and flexibility as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills Business fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of German desirable About The Team Our Grid Technology division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid.
