Job OverviewAs a Warehouse Shift Leader, you play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day logistics operations. Your key responsibility is to manage and direct the shift team effectively.Workforce planning, employee coordination, capacity management, and yard/warehouse flow management are crucial aspects of your job.You will oversee the entire shift organization, including FTE and temporary employees, ensuring compliance with customer and legal requirements for inventory management and goods distribution.Process implementation, SOP/WI creation, and subordinate logistics team development are essential responsibilities.Creation and adherence to quality standards as well as monitoring of KPIs are vital for performance optimization.Identifying areas for improvement, optimizing existing processes, and driving productivity, safety, and health increases are key goals.Employee evaluations, material management, and leading workgroups like 5S, Safety, lean, and kaizen with a positive change culture are also part of your role.Supporting new customer implementations and changes for existing customers requires proactive thinking and effective communication skills.RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you should possess:Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership position, preferably in logistics and warehousing.Effective communication skills and the ability to work with others.Good interpersonal skills, independence, and a proactive mentality.Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage stress.Responsible and accountable behavior with strong computer skills, WMS understanding, and proficiency in English and German (written and verbal).
