Your responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute the global product compliance strategy in alignment with business, technology, and sustainability goals
2. Ensure globally harmonized compliance practices while adapting to regional regulatory requirements and customer expectations
3. Identify and mitigate compliance risks, ensuring proactive product safety and regulatory adherence
4. Plan and execute compliance initiatives and drive continuous improvement
5. Prepare and present strategic recommendations to the executive leadership
6. Lead and manage a global network of compliance professionals through a matrix organization, balancing functional governance with regional operational accountability and fostering collaboration and effective communication
7. Advance the development and delivery of compliance training programs for employees, ensuring a culture of compliance throughout the organization
8. Drive change programs related to the digitalization and automation of compliance processes
9. Represent FUCHS in global regulatory forums and industry associations, and stay ahead of regulatory changes and trends
Qualifications we are looking for:
10. Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field
11. Strong expertise and experience in (global) regulatory and product compliance and its implementation in the chemical, lubricants, or life sciences industry
12. Strategic strength and business acumen to balance regulatory integrity with commercial needs, and to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear guidelines and processes
13. Experience in a (lateral) leadership role and proven success in leading through influence within a multinational matrix organization, ideally in a global company
14. Skilled in data analysis and interpretation to identify trends and potential compliance risks
15. Strong strategic foresight and innovation capability
16. Excellent operational execution skills with a results‑oriented mindset
17. Proven track record of fostering a collaborative environment and building strong relationships across the organization, regulatory forums, and external stakeholders
18. Strong communication and persuasive skills across different levels and cultures
19. Willingness to travel internationally as required
