About the Role
Working within the Operations Team and reporting to the Group Operations Director, this role is primarily responsible for managing SMS and Online competitions across Ireland’s biggest radio brands. The role also encompasses oversight and management of other enterprise revenue areas, reviewing insights and preparing plans and strategy for developing the business. You will collaborate with the Group Operations Director and Content Teams to deliver commercial targets; planning and delivering competitions within regulatory requirements. You will be the expert on emerging trends, developments and opportunities and sharing insights with the wider business where relevant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational and administrative skills.
What you’ll do:
1. Manage the day to day running of SMS and Online competitions across our radio brands and networks
2. Be responsible for the management, deployment and development of the SMS technical system
3. Write and distribute presenter scripts. Brief content and production teams
4. Co-ordinate competition executions, prize winner verification and prize delivery
5. Produce written content for websites, apps and social media to promote competitions
6. Update websites with Terms & Conditions, audio and other content relating to competitions
7. Manage the building of customer databases and the delivery of outbound marketing strategy
8. Ensure competitions comply with all applicable regulations and are fully compliant
9. Respond to enquiries and complaints from listeners and participants
10. Work with PR team to highlight positive and newsworthy stories of SMS winners
11. Support Bauer brands to achieve revenue targets and KPIs in enterprise revenue
12. Monitor and appraise delivery of competitions across multiple stations and networks and provide feedback through reports and analysis
13. Support the Group Operations Director in the development and management of other enterprise revenue streams in conjunction with third parties
What You'll Have:
14. Proven experience managing digital or SMS-based competitions (ideally at scale).
15. Familiarity with campaign setup, audience engagement, winner selection, and post-campaign reporting.
16. Knowledge of platforms and systems used for competitions (SMS gateways, CRM tools, entry databases,
17. Strong knowledge of Irish competition laws, GDPR, data handling, and broadcasting regulations.
18. Experience ensuring legal compliance around competition terms & conditions, data collection, and winner selection.
19. Excellent project management skills – able to manage multiple competitions simultaneously across various brands.
20. Ability to standardize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce errors or compliance risks.
21. Strong interpersonal skills – works well with radio producers, on-air talent, marketing teams, legal, and tech partners.
22. Ability to communicate clearly with various individuals at different levels
