Your tasks
* Planning, setup, conducting and analysis of physics and biology experiments, in particular at the Dresden proton therapy facility;
* Supervision of graduation theses (Bachelor, Master, PhD);
* Teaching within the master program Medical Radiation Sciences including the radiation protection modules;
* Acquisition of third-party funding (independent and contributory).
Your profile
* Completed PhD in the field of Physics, Medical Physics or related discipline;
* Relevant professional experience in the specified area;
* Excellent knowledge in radiation and medical physics, in particular acceleration, transport, detection and interaction of particle beams with matter;
* Very good experimental skills and substantial practical experience in irradiation and dosimetry, preferably with proton beam;
* Strong interest in multidisciplinary and translational research and interest in radiation protection;
* Knowledge in radiation protection and radiation biology is a plus;
* Ability to work independently, efficiently, goal-oriented and proactive;
* Ability to work as a part of an international team;
* High motivation and personal commitment;
* Experience with Monte Carlo simulation codes is a plus;
* Excellent English skills.
