Job Details Bavaria, Germany - Grafenwoehr Lager, Germany Description Job Title: Tradesman / Quality Control Representative (QC Rep) Department: Base Operations Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Tradesman / Quality Control Representative (QC Rep) to ensure all maintenance and repair work meets our exacting standards. The ideal candidate will be a versatile tradesman with a keen eye for detail, capable of performing hands-on work as well as conducting meticulous inspections. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and safety of all base facilities and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed inspections and audits on all work performed by in-house technicians and external contractors. Ensure all repairs and installations meet contract specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. Maintenance & Repair: Perform a variety of hands-on maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions taken. Prepare reports on quality control findings and project status for management. Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise and guidance to the maintenance team to ensure proper procedures are followed and quality issues are resolved. Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all safety protocols and regulations. Identify and report any unsafe conditions or practices. Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing complex issues and verifying that repairs have effectively resolved the problem. Desired Qualifications: Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree or certification from a vocational program or technical school in a skilled trade is a significant plus. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a skilled trade, with a strong background in maintenance and repair. Experience in a quality control, inspection, or supervisory role is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Broad knowledge across multiple trades (e.g., electrical, mechanical, structural). Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Leadership: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be a detail-oriented individual capable of maintaining impartiality during inspections. Certification: A valid driver's license is required. Relevant trade certifications and/or quality control certifications are highly valued. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in various positions for extended periods. Must be able to work in diverse conditions, including exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, and confined spaces.
