Data Analysis & Reporting:
Collect, clean, and analyze logistics-related data from various sources (e.g., shipment times, inventory levels, warehouse efficiency, transport routes, delivery performance).
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and logistics metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, cost per shipment, inventory turnover).
Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in logistics processes through data analysis.
Use data insights to propose actionable recommendations for optimizing logistics workflows, reducing costs, and improving operational efficiency.
Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to develop solutions to address inefficiencies or bottlenecks identified through data analysis.
Assist in defining scope and metrics for improvement initiatives within the logistics domain.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (logistics, supply chain, finance, IT) to understand data needs and ensure alignment on data-driven decisions.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including management, in a clear and concise manner.
Support the implementation of process changes based on data-driven insights to ensure alignment with business goals.
Stay up to date with trends in data analytics and logistics technology, and proactively suggest ways to leverage new tools and methods to improve operations.
Improve the (financial) logistics data and standardize the way it becomes available in order to create more transparency and ease the reporting.
Education
~ Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis, data visualization, and reporting.
Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is a plus, but not mandatory.
Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL and Power BI (programming and use).
Experience with SAP S/4HANA is helpful.
Basic understanding of logistics operations, such as transportation management, warehousing, or inventory control, is advantageous.
Business fluency in German and English.
Experience with logistics-specific software or systems (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP).
