Main Responsibilities
* Lead and support the european service teams (appr. 200 service people) to ensure installation, service, and maintenance work for customers is carried out according to company guidelines, processes, and quality expectations.
* Oversee day-to-day operations while continuously identifying and implementing improvements where processes or performance can be strengthened.
* Work closely with the regional finance function to prepare annual budgets and update monthly forecasts for operating and investment costs.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the region, especially in Engineering, Marketing, HR, Business Services, and Finance, to ensure smooth operations and alignment on strategic priorities.
* Define, document, and regularly update department procedures and operating methods, ensuring they reflect best practices within the industry.
* Keep informed about market developments, competitors, and new technologies relevant to the business.
* Promote a mindset of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging teams to improve customer satisfaction and overall business results.
* Coach and develop managers within the department, strengthening leadership skills and preparing high-potential employees for future roles.
* Maintain close cooperation with divisional and corporate teams to ensure consistency with company objectives, while sharing feedback on operational needs and challenges from the field.
Candidate Profile
* A university degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations Management is desirable.
* Extensive professional experience in a complex, international organization within a semiconductor-related environment, with several years in a senior field service leadership role.
* Strong understanding of business operations and financial principles, with the ability to manage budgets and assess performance drivers.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical topics into clear messages for different audiences and influencing stakeholders through written and verbal communication.
* Proven ability to use market and business insights to support operational decision-making and drive the achievement of business objectives.
