We are looking for a new team member who is eager to make a real difference! As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will drive the evolution of groundbreaking ideas into scalable, high-impact solutions for real-world challenges.
Your roadmap to make an impact
* Design and model new parts or refine existing designs based on requirements and performance objectives.
* Contribute innovative ideas to the development of new UAV systems.
* Develop and validate designs using additive manufacturing techniques.
* Manage supplier relationships and coordinate component procurement, act as a sparring partner for the manufacturing department.
* Take full ownership of projects, managing them from initial concept through production.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing design processes, implementing best practices, and measuring impact.
Who you are
* Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5 years of relevant work experience.
* Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and understanding of tolerancing.
* Solid understanding of mechanical principles for designing structural components.
* Hands-on experience with UAVs, including both fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms.
* Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes and materials; injection molding and metal design knowledge is a plus.
* Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* Proficiency in English. German knowledge is beneficial.
